Pyro-Guard® is pressure-impregnated, fire-retardant lumber and plywood for interior structural applications. This makes it ideal for exterior projects and other endeavors which may be exposed to high humidity or dampness.
Pyro-Guard® Treated Lumber & Plywood Features
Pyro-Guard® is fire-retardant-treated lumber and plywood that is produced in accordance with quality control procedures mandated by the International Code Counsel Evaluation Service (ICC-ES). This means that it has been strength-tested after prolonged exposure to moisture and high temperatures to verify its reliability. In the event that Pyro-Guard® treated wood is exposed to fire, water and non-combustible gas will form, as well as a layer of heatproof char, which prevents combustion and insulates the wood from further damage.
Pyro-Guard® construction requires no special skills or tools and is a commonly accepted by building codes for partition walls, store fronts and roof construction.
